Alain Prost, the four-time Formula One world champion, was injured last night when a masked gang broke into his home in a violent raid. The 69-year-old Frenchman, known as 'The Professor' for his methodical driving style, was attacked in the incident at his residence in the south of France. Police confirmed that Prost sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital before being released.
The gang, believed to be armed and wearing balaclavas, fled the scene with undisclosed items. A source close to Prost said he was 'shaken but recovering.' Local authorities have launched a manhunt and are appealing for witnesses.
Prost, who won world titles with McLaren and Williams, remains a revered figure in motorsport.
